CC means Chair Car and EC means Executive Chair Car
There are some notable differences between these two classes of Indian railways that may or may not be important according to different sectors of society.
There is a difference between the rent, the rest area and the services provided. There is more space/room in EC or this can be like business class in flight. Catering service also varies from EC to CC

The difference between EC and CC classes on Shatabdi Express trains are.
- In CC, the seating arrangement is 3: 2, that is, 3 seating areas on one side and 2 consecutive on the other side.
- Whereas in EC this ratio is 2: 2, that is, 2 seats on one side and one seat on the other side.
- The Shatabdi EC fare is more than the CC fare on Shatabdi Express.
- There is more legroom and the middle path is wider in business class than it is in the car seat class.
- The fare for Business class is similar to First AC, while the fare for Chair Car class is similar to Tier AC III.
- The Shatabdi Express Business Class seats 56 passengers in a complete coach, while the Shatabdi Express Seat Car Class seats 78 passengers in a complete coach.
